Lightning Protection
Lightning Protection Systems can protect the oldest and most valuable trees on your property. Copper conductors are placed into the highest portions of a tree, down the main branches and trunks, then out beyond a tree's “drip line”. The protection system does not attract lightning nor does it keep lightning strikes from occurring. It simply conducts the lightning bolt into the ground to prevent damage to the tree. When installed correctly and inspected annually by a qualified Arborist, a lightning protection system can often last up to 30 years.
