Support Cables

If a tree has weak branches, support can be added in the form of cables, braces, or guys to prevent failure and loss of limbs. Cabling will help support the tree, and prevent having to remove the branch or tree outright. Support systems should be installed properly and inspected annually by a qualified Arborist. It is important that the support cables provide support without increasing risk or changing the dynamics of the tree.
